Bill's Sausage Gravy

"This is my version of sausage gravy...The first-rate! Pour over hot biscuits (I use shop bought.) Follow those directions and you won't be upset! Very fattening and Umm Umm Good!"

Ingredients :

1 (12 ounce) package maple flavored sausage
3 tablespoons butter
1/four cup all-motive flour
3 cups complete milk
salt and pepper to flavor

Instructions :

Place sausage in a huge, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat till calmly brown. Remove sausage with a slotted spoon, leaving the drippings within the pan. Stir in the butter till melted. Add flour, and stir till easy. Reduce heat to medium, and cook till mild brown. Gradually whisk in milk, and cook till thickened. Season with salt and pepper, and stir in cooked sausage. Reduce heat, and simmer for 12 to fifteen mins. If gravy turns into too thick, stir in a little greater milk.
